CUC is currently building a new sewer line in Chalan Kiya. Along the path of the new sewer line project is one concrete power pole belonging to CUC. This concrete pole will be relocated across the road along Chalan Monsignor Guerrero Road. The concrete pole relocation will begin on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021, and the duration of the project is estimated to last five hours, from 9am to 2pm.

To maximize public safety and to minimize the power pole relocation time, both outer lanes along the Chalan Monsignor Guerrero Road (the northern westbound and southern eastbound lanes) will be closed around the project site for the duration of the project. Furthermore, during the transferring of the primary power line conductors, all four lanes will be closed for approximately 15-20 minutes.

For the safety of our men and women working at the job site, motorists are advised to proceed with caution when traveling by the work site or to take an alternative route as road lanes will be closed during the project.

CUC continues to work diligently to minimize any inconvenience to its customers. For more information, contact the CUC Customer Hotline (236-4333) or monitor our Facebook page for the latest updates (https://www.facebook.com/CommonwealthUtilitiesCorporation/). (PR)
