Emergency power outage today

The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. would like to inform the public that there will be an emergency scheduled power service interruption today, Feb. 9, 2021, for the areas of Lower Base, Navy Hill, and Puerto Rico.
• On Feb. 6, a vehicular accident damaged CUC’s power pole on Chalan Pale Arnold Road fronting the Marina Heights buildings in Puerto Rico. For the safety of the linemen, CUC will need to de-energize the utility lines when replacing the power pole today.
Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2021- 9am to 9:20am and 12:40pm to 1pm
• Outage Type: Sectionalized Momentary Outage on Feeder 1
• Project Location: Chalan Pale Arnold Road fronting the Marina Heights Building 2
• Power Service Areas Affected:
– Lower Base (Fish & Wildlife Building);
– Puerto Rico (Shell Gas Station, CUC Water/Wastewater Office, Island Apparel, Puerto Rico Dr., Malinao Dr., Langlat Pl., Marinu Pl., Salasa Pl., Mattinan Pl., ChaoChao Pl., Unai Ln., partial of Isla Dr., Pacific Trading Company, Anaks, a portion of the U.S. Army Reserve Building and Marina Heights Building Nos. 1 & 2);
– and Lower Navy Hill
Traffic Light Affected: Puerto Rico and Lower Navy Hill
Water Well Affected: PR-164
Wastewater Lift Station Affected: S-1, S-3 and the Sadog Tasi Treatment Plant

• Water Well Affected: None
• Wastewater Lift Station Affected: S-8
Motorists are advised to proceed with caution and/or take an alternative route when traveling by the area as the outer, northbound lane fronting the MH-2 building will be closed for the duration of the outage. (PR)
