Military trainings set

ASAN, Guam—Military units will continue to conduct scheduled exercises in open ocean at the following coordinates: 13 ̊48”N/144 ̊41”E and Warning Area 517 until Jan. 28, from 8am to 11:30pm. Marine vessels are advised to remain clear of the area for the duration of the exercises and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners for advisories.

The U.S. Navy will conduct training in Radio Barrigada and Dandan-Malojloj from Jan. 25 to Jan. 28, from 9am to 11:55pm. Residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they see or hear increased activity during the training.

The U.S. Navy will conduct live fire exercises in open ocean from Jan. 25 to Jan. 28, from 9am to 11:55pm at the following coordinates: 13 ̊26”N/145 ̊08”E, 13 ̊42”N/144 ̊36”E. Marine vessels are advised to remain clear of the area for the duration of the event and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners for advisories.

The U.S. Navy will conduct training in Agat Bay, Outer Apra Harbor, and Orote Point from Jan. 25 to Jan. 28, from 9am to 11:55pm. Blank ammunition will be used for this training. Residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they hear or see increased activity.

The U.S. Marine Corps will conduct training in Warning Area 12 and Warning Area 517 on Jan. 27to Jan. 28, from 10am to noon and from 2pm to 5pm. The public is advised to be aware of the event. The U.S. Air Force will conduct training in Warning Area 13 Jan. 27 from 10:15am to 11:15am The public is advised to be aware of the event.

The U.S. Air Force will conduct training in Warning Area 13 on Jan. 28, from 11am to 2pm. and from 3-6pm. The public is advised to be aware of the event.

These trainings support readiness and are critical to developing the skills needed to respond to operational missions throughout the region to ensure a stable, free, and open Indo-Pacific. (PR)
