Galleria Café & Restaurant reopened last Jan. 5 without much fanfare and under new management, but determined to kick off 2021 with a healthy outlook.
And by healthy outlook meaning a healthy menu for the local community, with four brown rice meals that will surely put everyone’s New Year’s diet resolutions to shame.
Kevin Cho said they reopened Galleria Café & Restaurant earlier in the month and wanted to give island residents a healthier alternative for their meals.
Enter their $12 brown rice meals that are made up initially of four dishes—grilled mushrooms, beef Bulgogi, stir-fried spicy pork, and chicken breast steak. They all come with free miso soup, side dishes, and salad.
“We decided to sell the brown rice menu for everyone’s health. Nowadays, everyone is worried about dieting, diabetes, high blood pressure, and various adult diseases that are increasing. So, we decided to give healthy food to people,” he told Saipan Tribune.
Before rejuvenating Galleria Café & Restaurant, Cho used to run Latte Stone & Slow House in San Roque before the dearth of tourists forced him to close it down. So, save for minor tweaks like the brown rice meals, his new pet project carries over the old restaurant’s menu like the popular rice bowl, hotdog, and burger meals.
One new addition that has fast become a favorite of children is the tornado potato, which is a deep-fried spiral-cut whole potato on a skewer, brushed with various seasonings such as garlic, cheese, or honey.
Cho also wants local customers to try out their lunch specials that vary everyday. They also have Burger Days when their bestselling Chili Burger, Bulgogi Burger, and Mushroom Burger meals are only $10 and already include fries and soda. And if you’re a fan of smoothies, Galleria Café & Restaurant also got you covered as they make coconut, coffee, matcha, chocolate, and strawberry smoothies all the time.
Galleria Café & Restaurant sits 20-30 people and is located on the first floor of Galleria Hotel behind I Love Saipan in Garapan. It’s open everyday from 10am to 2pm and 5pm to 8pm for dine-in, take-out, and deliveries. For more information, to order in advance, or for deliveries call 789-5777 and 233-7777 or message them through their Facebook page.
