Mercado and Lerio each fired 9 points in the first half to put Rollers Red on top, 19-13. Mercado got all his first half baskets from downtown, while Lerio made three field goals and three charities to give Rollers Red a 6-point cushion at the break.
Rollers Blue, despite falling behind, remained in contention after the first half, thanks to Christian Lucero and Franklin Eriich, who combined for 11 points in the opening frame.
In the second half, Lucero was still on target, but Eriich was held to a field goal, bringing down the Rollers Red’s chances to overhaul the deficit.
