Karidat Social Services recently teamed up with Bridge Capital in a food drive that distributed $10,000 worth of food, including frozen chicken, rice, canned food, and milk, for needy families struggling with the loss of income due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Karidat executive director Lauri Ogumoro thanked Bridge Capital general manager Bartley A. Jackson and the Bridge Capital team led by Julie Duenas for reaching out to Karidat for the food drive that was held last Oct. 10, 2020. The food drive benefited a total of 257 families.

“When Bridge Capital reached out to Karidat stating they wanted to do a food drive for needy families, we told them to just tell us when and where we’ll have the families for you,” said Ogumoro.

Jackson and Duenas stopped by Karidat last Nov. 19 to drop off some additional food bags, and put an ornament on the Karidat Giving Tree. (PR)
