Commonwealth Election Commission chair Jesus Sablan said they are not going to certify as official the results of their tabulation until they count the remaining absentee ballots that are coming on Nov. 17.

Rep. Tina Sablan of the Democratic Party and House floor leader John Paul Sablan of the Republican Party came out as the first and second top vote getters among four candidates for House of Representatives Precinct 2 in early voting, absentee ballots, and Election Day votes, according to CEC’s unofficial tabulation results.

Edwin K. Propst emerged as the top vote getter among 14 candidates with a total of 1,883 total votes for early voting, absentee ballots, and Election Day votes for Precinct 1 of the House of Representatives, according to CEC’s unofficial tabulation results. The other candidates who made it to the six needed slots are Celina R. Babauta (D), Joseph Flores (Ind); Joseph Lee Pan Guerrero (R); Roy Christopher Ada (R), and Angel Demapan (R).

Edith E. Deleon Guerrero of the Democratic Party got 234 votes from the absentee ballots, while Sen. Sixto K. Igisomar received 198 votes. Igisomar, however, is still leading as he has total 3,525 votes as against Deleon Guerrero’s 3,454, according to CEC’s unofficial tabulation results. Election day ballots are next to be counted.
Edwin K. In the Rota senatorial race, independent Sen. Paul A. Manglona got a total of 525 votes in early voting and absentee ballots, while Dennis James C. Mendiola of the Republican Party got 472, according to CEC’s unofficial tabulation results.
With early voting ballots tabulated, 5,976 voted to retain Justice Perry Inos while 1,360 voted against his retention. A total of 6,238 voted to retain presiding judge Robert Naraja while 1,151 voted no. As for associate judge Kenneth Govendo, 5,830 voted for his retention while 1,467 voted against it. Unofficial Commonwealth Election Commission’s initial tabulation results on Rota showed that independent Rep. Donald M. Manglona got 298 votes from early voting and election day votes, while Barrie C. Toves of the Republican Party obtained 235 votes for the Rota House of Representatives race, according to a source on Rota. The CEC has yet to tabulate ballots for absentee voting and early election done on Saipan for the Rota race.

Unofficial Commonwealth Election Commission initial tabulation results on Rota showed that Dennis James Camacho Mendiola of the Republican Party received 210 votes from early voting and Election Day votes, while independent Sen. Paul A. Manglona got 196, according to a source on Rota.

Patrick Hofschneider San Nicolas of the Republican Party obtained 437 votes from early election and Election Day votes, while Frederick Arend Dela Cruz of the Democratic Party got 354 for the Tinian and Aguiguan House of Representatives race, according to unofficial CEC results.

Joseph Romaldo Santos is leading with a total of 555 votes from the early voting and Election Day votes, while Michael Napo King Aldan has a total of 536 votes, and Thomasa Rita Palacios Mendiola has a total of 431 votes in the race for Tinian and Aguigan Municipal Council, according to unofficial results from the Commonwealth Election Commission. Karl Rosario King-Nabors of the Republican Party received a total of 491 votes from early voting and on Election Day while Jose Pangelinan Cruz of the Democratic Party got 308 for the Senate race, according to unofficial results from the Commonwealth Election Commission.

Commonwealth Election Commission commissioners had just finished processing the 1,062 absentee ballots that came in.
CEC will tabulate early voting ballots first, according to CEC administrative officer Kayla Igitol.
She said the boat that went to the Northern Islands to pick up seven votes is expected to arrive at 10:30 tonight, Tuesday.
