Deadline extended for SCC scholarship
The Saipan Chamber of Commerce has extended its 2020 Scholarship Program application deadline to Wednesday, Oct. 7, at 11:59pm through its online portal at www.saipanchamber.com/scholarship-program.
The scholarship program is open to eligible students who are:
(a) 2020 High school graduates or currently on the first semester of college;
(b) Ongoing college students attending the Northern Marianas College; or
(c) Ongoing vocational education students (Northern Marianas Trades Institute).
All students who meet the criteria are encouraged to apply, to include high school graduates attending off-island institutions.
The Chamber recognizes that the cost of postsecondary education is substantial and, with the trying times caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, it is all the more important that we continue to promote and enable postsecondary education in our community through the support of local institutions, NMC, and NMTI.
COVID-19 measures
-Applications: Official SCC scholarship packets outlining eligibility requirements for all student levels will be available at on the scholarship webpage at www.saipanchamber.com/scholarship-program.
-No hard copies will be made available.
-Submission of applications: In an effort to stop the spread, SCC encourages students to submit their application online on the scholarship webpage. Students may also submit their application at the SCC Office, make an appointment in advance.
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must complete the application in its entirety and submitted on or before Oct. 7, 2020. We encourage all students to submit their applications online.
