DPS confirms complaint filed vs Rep. Propst

The Department of Public Safety confirmed last night that a complaint had been filed against Rep. Edwin Propst (D-Saipan) and that DPS is looking into it.

“At this time, I am not able to share the time, date, or nature of the complaint,” said DPS spokesman Dre Pangelinan, who refused to answer other questions.

As of press time last night, Saipan Tribune was still waiting for comments from Propst.

A concerned citizen, Irene Holl, recently wrote House Speaker Blas Jonathan Blas to urge the House to conduct a formal ethics investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct against Propst while he was a teacher at the Marianas High School and at the Northern Marianas College.

Holl also wrote the same letters to Gov. Ralph DLG. Torres and Attorney General Edward Manibusan. (Ferdie de la Torre)
