Power outage on Capital Hill on Friday

Share

There will be a scheduled power interruption on Friday, Sept. 8, 2020, on Capital Hill, from 9am to 1pm.

This will allow linemen of the Commonwealth Utilities Corp. to replace a leaning and rotted power pole and a leaking three-phase transformer behind the Legislature building.

The power outage will affect Maug Dr., Rota Pl., Governor’s Office, Legislature building, and the Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services building.

Because of the scale of work that will be performed, CUC asks travelers to take alternate routes or to exercise caution when driving through the working area.

For more information, contact the CUC hotline (236-4333) or monitor our Facebook page for the latest updates (https://www.facebook.com/CommonwealthUtilitiesCorporationl). (PR)
