Ablog distinguished herself at the university by earning a bachelor of arts degree in Anthropology and certifications in Ethnic Studies and Korean. She was an active member of the UHM community, having served in multiple leadership positions, including Opinions editor and co-managing editor for Ka Leo O Hawaiʻi, UHM’s student newspaper, and the archaeology representative and webmaster for the Anthropology Undergraduate Student Association. Ablog also became a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society, Pi Gamma Mu, and Phi Beta Kappa.
During the summer of 2019, Ablog studied at Yonsei University’s Korean Language Institute for three months.
Since graduating in May, she has become an intern for “Lady Pasifika,” a creative platform that highlights Pacific Islander women and their stories.
She plans on attending graduate school after taking a gap year. (PR)
