SANTA RITA, Guam—Effective today, Aug. 31, the U.S. Naval Base Guam (NBG)-Main Base front gate traffic pattern will change during the morning hours.
There will be three inbound lanes and one outbound lane at the front gate Monday through Friday from 6am to 8am. The back gate will remain open for inbound traffic only Monday through Friday from 6am to 8:30am.

Improving base access in support of improved military readiness, and ensuring the safety and security of military and civilian personnel remains a top priority.
As NBG implements this new traffic flow at the entry control point (ECP), all drivers accessing NBG installations are reminded to pay attention to the traffic pattern and posted signs, follow Security’s directions, stop at the Security sentry’s position, and proceed only when cleared by the sentry.

Patrons are further reminded to 1.) Have their ID readily available and extend it outside their window to be scanned, 2.) Put their face covering on and take their sunglasses off prior to arriving at the ECP, 3.) Roll down their vehicle’s back window, and 4.) Be ready to answer questions about their wellness.

All patrons are advised to plan accordingly and to monitor NBG social media for updates. (PR)
