The program celebrated its first year annniverasy last July. FitBeat is held at the Garapan Central Park, from Monday to Friday, 6:30pm-7:30pm, and Saturday, 6pm-7pm.
Vince Cabrera, a participant of the program, said, “It hit me when my doctor said I have diabetes and high blood pressure, so I joined Zumba. It takes a real man to do Zumba.”
“It is a challenge, and also I challenge others in this journey. The compliments keep me going, the transformation we are going through is a good feeling you can’t comprehend unless you experience it for yourself. This is not about me, it is FitBeat. The people around me who carried me and stood beside me,” he added.
Cabrera thanks coach Joel Vallega, first lady Diann Torres, his wife and kids. “These are my superheroes, they are saving my life. And they are saving other people’s lives as well.
