No credibility

Mr. Ambrose Bennett is a regular writer in both local newspapers and amazingly he professes to be an expert on a myriad of issues that besets the CNMI and claims that nobody listens to his prophecies that more often than not come true. I guess Ambrose has already fallen in love with himself or was under the influence (recreational herb or soju) while narrating his written materials.

I have strong reservations when a person is passionately against a casino operation on Saipan, which is the CNMI caretaker and provider of lifeblood to Rota, Tinian, and the Northern islands. Mr. Bennett espouses about the moral rights and legitimacy of the Tinian Dynasty but demands full transparency, a dissertational research on casino feasibility for Saipan, complete analysis of projected revenues to be realized, and just about everything one can imagine to make the gauntlet an impossible process.

While Mr. Bennett and his few followers condemn casino operation on Saipan, the CNMI government is saddled with huge financial obligations and the public is clamoring for help from their government to provide relief from their financial sufferings from the high cost of living, reduction in pension income, rising cost of gasoline, water, power, groceries, healthcare insurance premiums, home repair, school tuition, school supplies, medical referral patient co-pay, and the list goes on. Ambrose Bennett’s weekly diatribe does very little to offer something of substance in terms of solutions but more so for the purpose of patting himself in the back and repeats his, “I told you so” for personal aggrandizement.

The guy just won’t let go of his fairy dream of a ferry service for the CNMI. This idea is already on the planning table and being studied but Ambrose somehow keeps harping that it was his idea from the beginning and if he has his own way may pursue to have a patent for it.

Lastly, I have little confidence that Mr. Ambrose Bennett’s crusade against Saipan casino operation is genuine. He spouts under false pretenses and he gets paid to do an ad, that’s all. He has a personal interest as much as his love for marijuana and its legalization. These, I believe, are self-incriminating contradictions. I question his sincerity as well as his credibility.
