This year’s Charter Day will be on May 16, 2014, and will feature the Marianas Idol and other competitions and a number of other performances. (NMC) To celebrate more then 33 years of enriching lives through higher education, the Northern Marianas College is inviting the CNMI community to its biggest celebration of the year, Charter Day, on May 16, 2014.

The theme for this year’s Charter Day is: “Full Speed Ahead. Sailing Through 33 Years of Success.”

“We’re inviting everyone to join us in As Terlaje for our Charter Day celebration,” said Leo Pangelinan, dean of Student Services. “We’ll be showcasing various programs, hosting fun competitions and, of course, featuring great entertainment.”

The festivities will kick off at 5pm and will continue until 10pm.

There will be various entertainment and competitions throughout the night. Delicious food, drinks, and games will also be offered for sale by numerous vendors.

Agencies, businesses, clubs, and other civic organizations are invited to participate by purchasing booth space for the following categories: food/drink, game booths, retail (arts and crafts, toys etc.), and information.

The deadline to submit applications for booth spaces will be posted to the NMC website. Booth space is limited so applications should be submitted as soon the deadline is announced. The booth fee is $75 for everyone including the NMC clubs and nonprofit organizations. For more information, visit www.marianas.edu.

For more information about Charter Day, contact Pangelinan at 234-5498 Ext. 6767 or via email at leo.pangelinan@marianas.edu. (NMC)
