Tennis coaching webinar set
The International Tennis Federation and ITF Academy will be hosting a coaching webinar on July 8 and 9 in their bid to continue the coaches’ professional development amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The webinar is for Pacific Oceania-member nations with ITF Development Officer (Pacific Oceania) Gary Purcell and ITF Participation and Coaching head Miguel Crespo conducting the education and certification course.
The session for CNMI, Australia, Guam, and PNG is set for 6pm (4am Saipan time) on July 9. For the 7pm session on the same day, it will be the turn of coaches from Vanuatu and the Federated States of Micronesia, while Fiji, New Zealand, and Kiribati will be together in the 8pm slot, and Samoa will take the 9pm class.
Cook Islands and Tahiti coaches will kick off the course, as their session are slated for July 8 at 10pm.
The webinar will discuss information about the ITF Academy, it’s coaches education program, and the current challenges and opportunities for coaches in the region. There will also be a question and answer portion in the session and interested participants are encouraged to email Purcell (garypurcell@itftennis.com) their questions before July 7.
