Robert Arrington, who hosts the YouTube channel “Deer Meat for Dinner,” returned to the Marianas this week for what he is touting as one of his best shows ever.

“Deer Meat for Dinner” features hunting, fishing, diving, and cooking of wild game. After filming on Rota in 2018, Arrington has returned to create an extended series on the Marianas. The show has 2.3 million subscribers, and its initial seven-part series on Rota has gained 13 million views.

“During Mr. Arrington’s visit to the Marianas, he and his team will be traveling to the Northern Islands, Saipan, and Tinian, in an effort to further promote the richness, pristine, and natural wonders our islands have to offer,” said Marianas Visitors Authority managing director Priscilla M. Iakopo. “As the Marianas looks forward to recovering from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, one of our main focus is to further promote ecotourism. Through this project, we will be able to showcase a variety of ecotourism activities to a wide audience.”

“Deer Meat for Dinner” also has 82,000 Facebook followers, 113,000 Instagram followers, and 3,500 followers on Twitter.

Gov. Ralph DLG Torres plans to accompany Arrington to the Northern Islands.

Originally scheduled to be in the Marianas for two weeks, the show recently announced its intention to extend production. (MVA)
