Garapan Restaurant Café and Grill was established eight years ago and through the years, they have grown to understand what their customers need especially during this time of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“During this time of hardship, we wanted to be able to provide a nice, warm, homecooked meal that individuals can take home and enjoy. We believe that a warm meal helps heal one’s soul,” said general manager and director Gracia Yoo.

“We try to do our best but most importantly we think of our customers as family. Interactions between our staff and our customers have always have been very family-like. Loyal customers love our wide-ranging menu from Japanese, Korean (including Korean BBQ), to American cuisine,” Yoo added.

The restaurant temporarily closed after the first case of COVID-19 on Saipan was declared in April. “We wanted to be as cautious as possible for our staff and customers’ safety but we were back in business again after a month… We are currently serving take-out only from 11am to 2pm and we are serving our full menu available including our specials and sushi platters. Last Monday, we also started serving dinner from 5pm to 7pm but for take-out only,” Yoo said.

“We currently have our ‘daily bento’ and specials throughout the month of June. Our ‘daily bento’ is different every day but the classic bentos are a staple and available every day as well. Because of two important events this month, we have specials for the graduates of 2020 and Father’s Day,” Yoo added.
