It’s a dirty job, but someone’s got to do it and Waki’s Carpet Cleaning is always on your beck and call when it comes to carpet cleaning. Established six years ago, Waki’s Carpet Cleaning is catered to a market who wants the best cleaning job on island at affordable prices.

“I pride myself in providing professional, quality, and affordable cleaning services… I did not close the business amidst COVID-19 because I thought this was also the best time to help people keep their surroundings disinfected and clean although I did not have any inquiries or requests for services for about 45 days,” proprietor Absalon Waki Jr. said.

“I am a one-man operation and I usually work alone on projects that is why the work is never less than 100% because of the focus. I travel to customers’ homes or offices and service them there. For area rugs and auto interior detailing, I usually clean them at my home/office,” Waki added.

Waki’s Carpet Cleaning shampooing prices is based on how big the item is. For office and home carpets $0.50 per square foot with additional charge for movement and replacement of furniture. For area rugs, under 5’x 7’, minimum $20 and $0.50 per square foot for larger rugs (pick-up and delivery available).

For couches, loveseats, and chairs prices can go as high as $50 and for bed mattresses it can go as high as $40. Prices are based on size of units and larger than normal units will cost slightly higher. Auto interior detailing includes sedans, SUVs, and vans.

Ever since, Waki follows health and safety protocols. “When at a customer’s location, I wear my mask and no one is usually around me when I am working. At my home or office, I wear my mask when customers are dropping off the merchandise that I will be cleaning,” he said.

“I am usually available to serve customers from every day at the time that is convenient to my clients. Since I have commercial customers like hotels, museums, libraries, etc., they do not want me to clean during normal business so I usually serve them after 5pm and before 8am. With regular customers, I am available from 9am to 4pm and I do try my best to close on Sundays, but will accommodate customers if this is the only day they are available,” he added
