After waiting for two months, it is time to relax, enjoy a cold drink while watching the sun go down once again at Oleai Beach Bar & Grill located in San Jose. They officially reopened last week after closing temporarily last March due to COVID-19 concerns.
Oleai Beach Bar & Grill CEO Seiichi Kamegai said the two months they were out of business made them eager to serve customers again. “We missed everyone and our employees also missed our friendly customers who come to us whether to eat, drink, unwind, and be with family and friends…Oleai Beach Bar & Grill has been in business for 30 years and I took over in 2013…it tells you how long its special relationship is with the community,” he said.
“We are back to what we are good in doing—open seven days a week, serving a full menu, and we accept dine-in and take out orders… with this, we expect to see our regular customers once again,” he added.
Oleai Beach Bar and Grill is located by the Saipan lagoon and is frequented by locals and tourists during lunch time and most especially during sunset up to dinner time. “Our loyal customers love the atmosphere that we have in the restaurant….It is easy going and gives out a feel that everyone is welcome every time,” Kamegai said.

Oleai Beach Bar & Grill’s menu includes a wide range of dishes from American, Chamorro, Japanese, Filipino, Italian, and Mexican cuisine. “Our steak and hamburger dishes are the bestsellers because of their unique taste, delicious sides, and affordable prices,” Kamagai added.
Although the economy is not yet 100% running and back to normal, places like Oleai Beach Bar & Grill that is back in operation, compliant with social distancing and health and safety protocols make us remember what used to be prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.
