DOI grant application deadline extended
The U.S. Department of the Interior’s grant application deadline for the Technical Assistance Program, the Maintenance Assistance Program, and the Coral Reef and Natural Resources Initiative will be extended for an additional 30 days to June 1, 2020.
“Given the challenges caused by the current global coronavirus pandemic, [this extension will give] insular area governments and non-profit organizations additional time to submit requests,” said Assistant Secretary, Insular and International Affairs, Douglas W. Domenech.
Applications for FY 2020 TAP, MAP, and CRNR funding, as first announced in November 2019, may be submitted by insular government entities, educational institutions, or non-profit organizations whose grant proposals will directly benefit American Samoa, Guam, the CNMI, and the U.S. Virgin Islands or the Freely Associated States, which are the Federated States of Micronesia, the Marshall Islands, and Palau. Complete instructions on how to apply for these discretionary financial assistance programs as provided through the U.S. Department of the Interior’s Office of Insular Affairs may be found at: https://www.doi.gov/oia/financial-assistance.
