Settlement Fund
The Settlement Fund office is now open on a limited basis to provide services to members via a walk-up window. Note that social distancing will be strictly enforced and we require that members wear a mask in order to be assisted.
In addition, due to the scarcity of available notaries public at this time, the submission of the Annuity Recipient Information Update form, or SF-200, is extended until June 15, 2020. For current Saipan residents, you may have the form witnessed by staff at the Settlement Fund office.

DPS Firearms and Records
The CNMI Department of Public Safety Firearms and Records office will be open to serve the community beginning today, May 11, 2020. Office hours are Monday – Thursday: from 9am to 3pm for walk-in services.
All individuals who are looking to visit the Firearms and Records office to avail of the services are required to wear a mask and maintain the standard 6-feet distance when lining up outside the office, as the office can only allow one person inside at a time.
We would like to kindly remind individuals that the BMV cashiers window will be closed. All payments for police reports, renewals, and etc. must be made at the CNMI Treasury on Capital Hill, or at Revenue and Taxation in Dandan before the Firearms and Records office is able to release updated documents and/or reports.

DPS Highway Safety Office

Northern Marianas Housing Corp.
Due to the COVID19 pandemic, the Northern Marianas Housing Corp. is taking steps to minimize the spread the COVID-19. Therefore, this is to inform all Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program Participants that NMHC will be making a direct deposit on all utility reimbursement payment checks to the Commonwealth Utilities Corp./landlord for the months of June and July 2020 for the participants.
Furthermore, NMHC will be revising the Housing Choice Voucher Program Administrative Plan to include that all URP will be directly deposited to the utility company or landlord.

Joeten-Kiyu Public Library
The Joeten-Kiyu Public Library will be providing the following limited services to the public effective today, May 11, 2020, from 9:30am to 12:30pm (time may be subject to change):
1. Free Wi-Fi access point at Joeten-Kiyu Public Library parking lot for public available during library hours of operation. Password for access to free Wi-Fi will be issued one per vehicle.
2. E-Book access: Library staff will provide open eBooks, which is a free e-book service.
3. Free online community resources with links to databases.
4. Ask a Librarian: Wherein library staff provide answers to general inquiries regarding library services and/or use information resources to help others meet particular information needs.

The Joeten-Kiyu Public Library facility remains temporarily closed to the public. All library materials due during this period of public onsite closure will be waived. The library recommends that patrons who have overdue materials to hold onto such materials until such time as the library is fully open to the public. (PR)
