Quake in Farallo de Pajaros

At 6:27am on April 3, 2020, a report of a 5.2 magnitude earthquake occurred 17 kilometers northwest of Farallon de Pajaros, Northern Marianas Islands. The U.S. Tsunami Warning Center did not issue any tsunami warnings or advisories. For more information, call the CNMI State Warning Point at 237-8000. (PR)

Traffic court cases rescheduled

The CNMI Office of the Clerk of Court, Superior Court would like to notify individuals with traffic citations, cases pursuant to a court order issued by Superior Court Presiding Judge Roberto C. Naraja that were initially scheduled for April 2, 2020, are rescheduled to May 14, 2020, at 9am.

All parties with traffic citation(s) scheduled for hearing (arraignment) during the following date will be held at the Supreme Court courtroom of the Guma Hustisia.

Transfer station, landfill hours

The Department of Public Works has announced revised operation hours at the Lower Base Transfer Station and Marpi Landfill.

The Lower Base Transfer Station will be open all week from 7:30am to 1pm, except Wednesday. For more information, call (670) 322-2745 (Lower Base office)

Also, the Marpi Landfill will be open all week from 7:30am to 1pm, except Wednesday. For more information, call (670) 322-2761 (Marpi Landfill Office). (PR)
