Ex-cop allegedly beat up 13- year-old for watching porn

A former police officer allegedly slapped and punched a 13-year-old boy in the face and head several times for watching porn at a house in Chalan Kanoa.
Juan Roligat Limes, 48, was arrested on charges of child abuse and neglect and disturbing the peace.
At a hearing at the Supreme Court courtroom Wednesday afternoon, Superior Court Associate Judge Joseph N. Camacho imposed a $10,000 cash bail. The Office of the Public Defender was appointed as counsel for Limes. Preliminary hearing will be on April 17 at 10am.
According to police detective Rosa T. Rios in her report, a police officer responded to a store in Chalan Kanoa last Tuesday and met the boy’s stepmother who filed the complaint. The complainant said that she witnessed Limes beating up the boy Monday night. The boy, who had bruises on his face, was taken to the hospital for further evaluation as he complained of headache and numbness in his head and face.
Limes was then arrested.
The complainant said she heard multiple “smacking” sounds coming from a bedroom. The complainant said she then saw Limes repeatedly slapping and punching the boy. She pushed Limes away, then the boy ran behind her.
Limes allegedly continued throwing punches at the boy and, according to the complainant, she was hit at one point in the neck.
The complainant said that Limes claimed he was upset after he caught the boy watching porn.
The complainant said it was the second child abuse report against Limes this year and that she was deeply hurt to see what Limes had done to the boy.
In April 2006, then-associate judge Juan T. Lizama sentenced Limes to 20 days in prison for beating up his wife and another woman in two separate incidents on Christmas Eve of 2004.
When the incidents happened, Limes was an off-duty police detective, according to court records. (Ferdie de la Torre)
