Starting today, March 23, Grace Christian Academy will be implementing distance learning for its students in K4 to 12th grade, as part of efforts to encourage social distancing and prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.

In a statement last Friday, GCA said that Google Classroom and Canvas will be the main platforms used for distance learning. The teachers, though, will continue to incorporate Achieve3000, Smarty Ants, and other educational resources.

Also, the dates of registration for next school year will be extended. If you have any questions, call the school at 322-3320.

GCA said it will continue to provide updates and information through the parent e-mail group and their Facebook page (Grace Christian Academy-Saipan, CNMI).

“GCA would like to thank all their students and parents/guardians for being supportive, understanding, and patient during this unique time in which we all find ourselves. GCA began preparing weeks earlier in the event that the schools would need to close and is ready to provide continuity of education to all the students. Last week, GCA organized a safe and effective way for parents to come to the school and pick up their child’s books and receive important information regarding the new class formats. The GCA administration would also like to thank the parents and guardians for helping to make this a very smooth process,” the GCA statement said. (PR)
