Students, Congressional Art Competition deadline nears
One last reminder that the deadline for entries to the Congressional Art Competition is this Friday, April 11.
The Congressional Art Competition is open to Northern Marianas students in grades 9 through 12. Original, two-dimensional art in a wide variety of media—painting, drawing, collage, print, computer-generated art, and photography—is permitted.
The winning entry from each of the 441 congressional districts is placed on display for a year. The art works are viewed by tens of thousands of visitors to the U.S. Capitol.
Previous winners of the Congressional Art Competition have been Rosanna L. Camacho, Bryan Jose Obaldo Deleon Guerrero, Hannah Alcordo, and Krisna Balolong of Marianas High School, and Aaron Tomokane of Kagman High School,
A panel of artists from the Northern Mariana Islands selects the winning art.
