Easy wins in Dove Women’s League

Paire Football Club, TanHoldings Football Club, and Shirley’s Football Club eased past their respective opponents in Division B of the 2020 Dove Women’s Spring League last week at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.
Paire saw action in the curtain-raiser and shut down MP United 2, 4-0, while TanHoldings whipped MP United 1 in the second game, 10-1. Shirley’s completed the triple-header last Wednesday when it blanked Kanoa, 7-0.
Shawna Brennfleck knocked in a pair of goals in Paire’s easy win over MP United 2, while Lindsay Davis and Michelle Masga chipped in one apiece.
In the TanHoldings-MP United 1’s one-sided match, Tamia Hix delivered four goals for the winning team, while Catherine Barroza, Rizza Relucio, and Judy Ann Andebor contributed two each. Ivan Claire Gozum scored the lone goal for MP United 1.
In the last match in the division, Megan Elayda and Elaine Enriques fired two foals each to lift Shirley’s to the victory. Stephanie Lumbad, Bernadette Horey, and Jhaza Mirano added one apiece to complete Shirley’s dominance of Kanoa.
MASTERS DIVISION
Kanoa 3, Matansa 2
Over at the TSL Sports Complex, Kanoa edged Matansa last Sunday.
Merlie Tolentino handed Kanoa its second win in three games in the division after hitting the go-ahead goal in the 36th minute. She also made Kanoa’s two other goals with the first one recorded in the sixth and the second two minutes later.
Ratree Fredrick and Valerie Hofschneider scored for Matansa with the latter posting the equalizer in the 34th minute and the former lighting up the board for their team in the 20th.
TanHoldings 3, MP United 0
TanHoldings barged into the win column after topping MP United.
Yoko Borja registered the two goals for TanHoldings, as she scored in the 16th and 21st minute, while Jessica Ortizo drew first blood for the team with her conversion in the 13th.
DIVISION A
Kanoa 6, Shirley’s 3
In the lone game in the division last Wednesday, Kanoa outclassed Shirley’s to take the solo lead in the group.
Irish Pagarao logged two goals in Kanoa’s second win in as many games, while Paulyn Joyce, Kristelle Itaas, Stephanie Flores, and Ericka Santiago chipped in one.
Jannah Casarino tallied two goals for Shirley’s, while Marinel Falalimpa scored the other goal for the losing squad.
