Discounts galore at Bali Fashion

A store that primarily sells ready-to-wear clothing on Saipan is having a sale to help soften the economic blow the community is currently experiencing due to the lack of tourists brought about by the COVID-19 outbreak.

Bali Fashion in Gualo Rai is having a 25-50% sale on clothes (excluding underwear, jeans, and slacks) and as well as a 10% discount on video games, according to manager Abbas Shakir.

“Times are extremely difficult for everyone in the CNMI as well as small business owners like us. However, we believe that providing our people with a 25-50% sale like this is our way of saying thank you and is a small appreciation act to the people of the CNMI,” he said.

Aside from clothes and video games, Bali Fashion also sells electronic items and a variety of computer accessories.

“Our bestsellers vary. However, our latest PS4 and XBox games are quite popular and our 3-for-$25 items, which include T-shirts and shorts for men, women, and kids, have always been a hit,” he added.

Bali Fashion has been serving the CNMI since 1990 and Shakir attributes the store’s lasting success to four factors—customer service, affordability, various size ranges for clothes, and quality.

“These make us a very unique store. This is what allowed us to build relationships with customers, which have lasted since the store first opened 30 years ago,” he said.

As for the name, Shakir clarified that it has nothing to do with the famous Indonesian tourist island. Rather, “bali” is a Chamorro slang for quality or solid.

On top of the ongoing 20-50% sale, loyal and even new customers of Bali Fashion should be on the lookout for an even more “epic” sale at the store soon.

“We’d like to say a huge thank you to all our customers who have been supporting us for the past 30 years and allowed us to build lasting relationships with. We couldn’t have asked more due to the amount of love we receive from the people here,” he said,

Bali Fashion is along Middle Road next to Eucon International College in Gualo Rai. It is open Monday-Sunday from 11am to 8pm. For more information, call 233-1190.
