Northern Marianas International School’s Kristine Kate P. Fajardo and Kassandra Myka R. Villegas placed first in Duet Acting and will represent the CNMI in the International Thespian Society in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Although Fajardo placed first in Monologue, she will not represent the CNMI in Nebraska for the said event because she also won first place in Duet Acting with Villegas. They will represent the CNMI in Duet Acting instead.

Fajardo and Villegas both received an accomplished rating, which is a requirement for the participants to be able to go to the nationals and represent the CNMI.

Katherine “Kathy” Barja coaches the NMIS Thespians and NJFL. Barja also coached Myka’s sister, Kyle Villegas, who won Monologue and represented the CNMI in Lincoln, Nebraska, last year.
