The Tan Siu Lin Foundation has once again showed its support to an event that promotes health and wellness by backing the Triple J 5K Bubble Color Run/Walk.

The TSL Foundation turned over the more than $10,000 donation to Triple J executives led by Triple J Enterprises vice president Mike Sablan last Monday to rally behind the race that will be held on March 7.

“The Tan Siu Lin Foundation has been a partner of Triple J for a very long time. Together, we support the growth and development of our islands in the CNMI and Guam. We are honored by the foundation’s generosity to our Triple J 5K community event. With Tan Siu Lin Foundation’s contributions and extended volunteer support we can make a bigger impact on our island community,” Sablan said.

“We are pleased that a respected company like Triple J is committed to helping make our community healthier and supporting non-profit groups by hosting this fun run annually. We encourage the public to join next month’s event, bring their family members, and stay active,” TSL Foundation executive director Merlie Tolentino said.

The 5K race will begin at 6am with the course starting and ending at the Garapan Fishing Base with a turnaround point just past the Quartermaster Road across Blue Beach House. Check-in time is 5am, while a Zumba class will be hosted at 5:15 to warm up runners/walkers.

Early registration is ongoing and would cost only $10 if fees are paid on or before March 6. Signup fees on race day are $15 per participant and $35 for a group of four before race day. Registrations forms are available at Hertz Rent A Car in Garapan, Triple J Motors in Beach Road, and at the Payless Super Fresh & Truckload Store and Surfrider Resort Hotel in Chalan Kanoa.

Runners/walkers can enter in the men’s and women’s youth division (13 and under), junior (14-19), open (20-29), sub-master (30-39), master (40-49), senior (50-59) and grandmaster (60 and above). Medals will be awarded to the Top 3 finishers in each age group.

Proceeds from Triple J’s signature event will be donated to the Commonwealth Cancer Association and Make-A-Wish Foundation Guam/CNMI Chapter. (PR)
