OVR and SRC offer electronic links to surveys
Every three years, the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation—in partnership with the State Rehabilitation Council and through technical assistance and support provided by San Diego State University Interwork Institute—conducts a Comprehensive Statewide Needs Assessment to gather information and learn more about the current needs of people with disabilities in the CNMI.
The information obtained will help OVR, SRC, and partner agencies to make the most effective decisions about programs serving individuals with disabilities. Survey results will also help OVR and SRC to design training programs for staff that will help them improve the quality and timeliness of services.
Two surveys are available electronically and are designed for specific groups:
-https://sdsueducation.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_893GXoLmnPpOChf: This survey is to be completed by a person with a disability, a family member of a person with a disability, or a caregiver of a person with a disability. If you are a former consumer, a current consumer, or a potential future consumer of OVR, we would appreciate also hearing from you. A consumer is defined as a person who meets eligibility criteria for and is receiving OVR or Voc Rehab services.
-https://sdsueducation.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_00xXrWhVG6GVc7H: Please take this survey if you are a community partner from educational agencies, government agencies, community rehabilitation programs (aka OVR vendors), advocates (including members of disability-related boards and councils), attorneys, employers/businesses, workforce training providers, etc. Note: Community partners, if you have been scheduled and confirmed to attend/participate in OVR/SRC’s focus groups or individual interviews the week of March 31, please do not take this electronic survey.
The surveys are voluntary and anonymous. However, OVR and SRC cannot emphasize enough how important the surveys are to identifying the current needs of people with disabilities on Saipan, Rota, and Tinian, and using the data to direct and guide program planning for the overall improvement of service delivery.
If you have any questions about the survey or would like to request the survey in an alternative or accessible format, contact Dr. Mark Tucker of SDSU-II at mtucker@interwork.sdsu.edu. The surveys will be available through April 15, 2014. (OVR)
