Frank Ermitanio won the Amigos Golf Club February Ace of the Month Tournament after he finished with a two-round net score of 140.
The 15-handicapper shot a gross of 85 on the first round last Feb. 2 at the Kingfisher Golf Links for a net score of 70.
On Round 2 last Feb. 16 at the same Talafofo golf course, Ermitanio fired an identical gross of 85 for another net 70 that gave him the score to beat in the tournament.
Ben Jones Jr. finished second with his 141, built around a gross of 90 in the first round and a gross 77 in the second. With his handicap of 13, Jones wound up with a 77 and 64 net on both days for a total of 141.
Third place went to Joe Torres after he came away with a total of net 142. The 16-handicapper shot a gross 91 and a gross 83 in the first and second round, respectively, for net scores of 75 and 63.
A total of 45 players took part in the qualifying and ace rounds of the Amigos Golf Club February Ace of the Month Tournament. The club would like to thank Kingfisher Golf Links for donating prizes for the competition.
