The Saipan Fil-American Lions Club will be hosting its first walkathon called “A Walk with a Cancer Survivor” on April 18 at 5pm at the Oleai Track and Field.

The club want to show its support for not only those who have been or are fighting cancer but to also remind survivors that they are not alone in their battle.

The walkathon will involve an after-work walk at 5:30pm at the track and field of the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium in Susupe so that everyone can be included, even children.

As part of efforts to promote health and fitness for all ages, the Saipan Alliance Lions Clubs have been hosting its annual Zumballiance, in collaboration with the Division of Public Heath’s Cervical Cancer Prevention Program.

If you wish to participate or be a sponsor, contact president Eden Mercado at (670)788-2416, Milagros Pellegrino at (670) 287-8310, Socorro Huliganga at (670)989-6407, or secretary Mario Mayuga at (670)285-1021. For more details about Lions Clubs International visit www.lionsclubs.org.
