Japan’s Marine Diving Magazine was in the Marianas last week gathering images and information for an upcoming feature on Saipan.
The magazine circulates 100,000 copies each month, targeting divers of all ages in Japan. Their upcoming feature on March 10 will highlight the convenience of making multiple dives on a four-day trip to Saipan, which has directly daily flight service from Tokyo by Skymark Airlines.
“The Marianas has been a regular feature of Marine Diving Magazine, and we are pleased to have had them back this month for another article,” said Marianas Visitor Authority marketing manager Thomas Kim. “At this time of reduced flights to the Marianas from China, we are hoping to entice more visitors from Japan, and this article will help.”
The estimated ad value of the magazine’s coverage is $100,000.
In addition to visiting numerous dive sites from Feb. 2 to 6, the editorial team visited Cha Café & Bistro and Marianas Creations and lodged at Serenti Hotel Saipan. (MVA)
