High risk for rip currents today

The public is being warned that there is a high risk of rip currents along east facing reefs today.
Based on the information received from the National Weather Service in Tiyan, Guam, and compiled at the CNMI Emergency Operations Center State Warning Point, surf up to 9 feet will produce a high risk of rip currents along east facing reefs.
The public is advised not to venture near reef lines along east facing shores. If you become caught in a rip current, remain calm. Stay afloat while waiting for help. If you have to swim out of a rip current, swim prallel to shore, then back toward the beach when possible. Do not attempt to swim directly against a rip current as you will tire quickly. (PR)
