Saipan Chamber meeting focuses on coronavirus

The Saipan Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its monthly general membership meeting today, Feb. 5, 2020, at the Seaside Hall of Kanoa Resort. Topics of discussion will be around the novel coronavirus and the Saipan Chamber’s plans for 2020.

Guest speakers include:

• Gov. Ralph DLG Torres, who will speak on the executive order suspending travelers from mainland China from flying into the CNMI.

• Marianas Visitors Authority, which will be giving updated information about visitor arrival projections in light of the coronavirus and how MVA is adapting to the changing tourism landscape.

• A Commonwealth Health Care Corp. representative will be providing updates on how CHCC and partners are responding to the threats of the coronavirus on the Commonwealth.

Lunch will be served at 11:30am and the meeting will begin promptly at noon. The luncheon fee is $25 for Chamber members and $35 for non-members.
