Call for artists for art program at American Memorial Park
Are you an artist interested in sharing your talent with others? The American Memorial Park is seeking three local artists to lead art sessions for the annual Art in the Park program. Selected artists will earn a $400 stipend for their work preparing for and leading their class as well as their continued support in implementing the gallery day when all work is displayed.
In the past the park has hosted a variety of artists as they shared their craft with the community. Pastels, banana painting, photography, beading, and watercolor are just a few of the different art forms that have been a part of this free and fun program.
All interested artists are asked to fill out the online application: https://forms.gle/btcc7QRMdKiJX2qPA. The deadline for submission is Friday, Feb. 7, at 4pm.
The Art in the Park program is made possible through a partnership with Pacific Historic Parks, a non-profit organization with a mission to support pacific historic locations involved in World War II through education and interpretive programs, research, preservation, and restoration.
For those interested in being participants in the Art in the Park Program, registration will be announced later in the month.
