The 254th Security Forces Squadron of the Guam Air National Guard received an alert order for a team of airmen to deploy later this year in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
The alert follows the recent return of 31 SFS airmen from Al Udeid AB, Qatar, where they were deployed for about eight months.

“Our airmen have always performed at a high level and as they prepare to answer the call once again, I have no doubt they will be ready,” said Maj. Gen. Benny M. Paulino, The Adjutant General for the Guam National Guard.

The airmen will be deployed to an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia with the mission to provide base defense and area operations.

“As we’ve done in the past, we seek the continued support of our community and our employers. But I also want to thank them for the tremendous support they have already given us over the years,” Paulino added. (GUANG)
