Jojo’s Avon Outlet Store: Helping women help themselves

Jojo Faller, owner of Jojo’s Avon Outlet Store, has been in the business of selling Avon products for 20 years now. “This is my passion and helping others gives me joy,” she said. (Photos by Bea Cabrera)
For 20 years now, Jojo Faller has been helping other women persevere, work hard and make a living selling Avon products in the CNMI. She has helped over 100 women who became Avon representatives to be leaders, top sellers, find work-life balance and get paid equal to the effort they put in the business.
“One can make money selling Avon as this is a trusted brand from the United States. They have everything—shoes, skin and beauty products, clothes, bags, to name a few. I was a stay-at-home mom taking care of my children and I saw the opportunity to be with them and earn money at the same time,” Faller said.
That was when Faller opened the Jojo’s Avon Outlet Store nine years ago. Before that, she was doing business at home, where shared the opportunity to sell Avon products with other women, especially mothers.
“Business is my passion and I find joy helping others earn money for their families,” Faller added.
Her store, located at the ground floor of the JMG Building on Quartermaster Road, is also a showroom for people who want to order Avon products.
“Most of my customers are locals and Filipinos. I sell 100% Avon products at very reasonable prices. For example, my deodorants only cost $2; other stores sell it at $2.50. Same with my perfume, which is only $15; it is $20 in other shops,” Faller said. “People really get discounted prices from my store as I take out the tax and shipping fees. …I treat my customers like family. We help each other out and I am very thankful to them.”
Jojo’s Avon Outlet Store is on the ground floor of JGM Building along Quartermaster Road in Chalan Lau Lau.
Faller hopes to continue helping women fulfill their dreams and, in that way, be of service to the community. “There is no shelf-life when it comes to anybody who wants to earn and give their children a good future, so anyone can join and be a representative for Jojo’s Avon Outlet store. Avon keeps growing with their products, so this passion of mine is going to be on island for a long time,” she said.
