Das Krishnan books final ticket to yearend tourney

Das Krishnan won the Saipan Golfers Association December Ace of the Month Tournament held last Dec. 8 at the Kingfisher Golf Links Course.
The Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan F&B director blazed the trail at the Talafofo golf course with a gross score of 83.
Krishnan fired a 43 in the first nine holes before shooting a scorching 40 in the back nine. With his 12 handicap, he finished with a net score of 71.
Two strokes back was Tony Deleon Guerrero with his net 73. He started the day with a 42 in the front nine before limping to the clubhouse with a 46. The 15-handicapper had a gross score of 88.
Coming in third place was Manny Alvarez with his net 74 built around a 44 in the first nine holes and a 42 in the final nine holes. The 12-handicapper came away with a gross of 86.
In the closest to the pin competition, Krishnan kept on winning by taking hole No. 15, while Joe Sablan topped hole No. 12. Frank Castro was without peer in hole No. 6. There were no winners in hole No. 8.
In the longest drive competition, John “Nanni” Cruz outdistanced everyone in hole No. 7 and Manny Alvarez did the same in hole No. 11.
With his victory in the December tournament, Krishnan joins the following 2019 Ace of the Month Tournament winners—Larry Deleon Guerrero (January), Steve Balakrishna (February), Joe Sablan (March), John “Nanni” Cruz (April), Ed Manibusan (May), Rick Kautz (June), Juan Lizama (July), Alex Tudela (August), Juan L. Babauta (September), Manny Alvarez (October), and Nick Sablan (November).
The two-day SGA 2019 Ace of Aces Tournament is scheduled on Feb. 1, 2020, a Saturday, at the Laolao Bay Golf & Resort and Feb. 2, 2020, a Sunday, at Kingfisher Golf Links. Tee time is to be announced.
Day 1 of SGA 2019 Ace of Aces Tournament will also be the January 2020 Ace of the Month and Day 2 will be the February 2020 Ace of the Month.
