DPS warns public of suspicious blue Nissan Versa
The CNMI Department of Public Safety is warning the public to be on the lookout for a suspicious-looking blue Nissan Versa after reportedly receiving several complaints about it.
In the latest incident, DPS said that it received a 911 call last Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2020, at about 12:30pm, reporting a criminal mischief complaint at a home in Papago. Police were dispatched to the scene.
At the scene, police met with the caller who lives in the home, who reported a suspicious vehicle that was backed up and parked in front of his home. The owner had returned home and immediately noticed vehicle, which had its front and back plates covered with a black tape. The vehicle had light tint and the suspect wore a black hooded jacket. After a quick inventory of the home, the owner reported nothing stolen but, was relieved he arrived home at the right time.
Since then, DPS has been receiving several calls reporting a suspicious blue-colored Nissan Versa with its front and back plates covered with black tape. Police are patrolling the islands’ roads and need your help. If you see a blue Nissan Versa, call 911 and report its whereabouts.
