In the Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2020, editorial section, there was a column titled, “Who is entitled to overtime?” by Jordan Sundell. While it is true that the new salary threshold for overtime exemption increased to $684 per week for the United States, there were also exclusions. It did not include Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. Their threshold remains at $455 per week.
