Ajisen Ramen, a Japan-based fast food chain restaurant, has moved to a new location. Formerly located along Beach Road and beside I-HOP, you can now savor their tasty ramen noodles and various soup dishes at Rosa St., Garapan across the Kristo Rai Church.
Now with a bigger dining area and parking space, Ajisen and IHOP manager Alice Kentiko said those were the motivations why they moved. “When we were alongside IHOP we were competing with parking space. With this one, it will be convenient for our customers to come here without worrying about parking and order their favorite food.”
“Our bigger dining area can house 80 customers at one time whereas before we can only sit 60. We also have two new rooms for private parties, meetings, and celebrations. If it gets busy we can still expand and use one of those rooms if it is free. So we were really thinking about our customers and their needs before we moved here,” she added.
Currently doing a soft opening before their grand opening on Friday, Jan. 17, at 11am, Kentoki also cited new potential customers that they will get from the nearby offices and residents around the area.
Aside from ramen, Kentoki said that they plan to add new dishes in the coming months. “We are still serving our regular menu but we do have plans of adding new dishes. We plan to have more offerings of rice dishes, sushi, and other Japanese food items… even during the move, we did not falter serving our menu to our loyal customers as we served Ajisen menu at IHOP,” she added.
Ajisen Ramen server Tammy Pangelinan said that they are excited and ready to serve at their new home. “It feels great to move to a place where we can serve our customers better with the bigger space both for dining and parking… we have been working hard during the transfer and get the place get ready to reopen.”
Ajisen Ramen was established in 1968 in Kumamoto Prefecture in Japan. It arrived in the Marianas almost 10 years ago as a small noodle house franchise in Guam that later expanded to a bigger branch. They opened on Saipan in 2017.
Ajisen Ramen is open from Monday to Sunday from 11am to 10pm. For more information go to their FaceBook page: Ajisen Ramen Saipan.
