The CNMI Division of Energy announced the relaunch of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands State Energy Program: “Energy-Efficient/Energy Star Appliance Rebate Program” (CNMI-SEP-EE/ESARP) to provide financial assistance, as an incentive, to residential consumers of Saipan, Tinian, and Rota.

The program is for residents who are interested in implementing energy measures within their homes by purchasing new Energy-Efficient and or Energy Star rated appliances to replace old inefficient ones. This would improve the efficiency of residential homes by lowering energy use and reducing the cost of utilities in residential homes. Rebate vouchers will be available on a first-come, first-served basis or until funds run out.

Applications for appliance rebate vouchers for the replacement of old and used inefficient appliances will become available on Monday, Jan. 13, 2020, for distribution to residents of Saipan at the CNMI Energy Division Office, located at House No. 1337, Ascencion Dr., Capital Hill, Saipan, MP 96950. Office hours are from 7:30am to 11:30am and from 12:30pm to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, except holidays and weekends.

For residents of Tinian and Rota, applications will be made available at designated Offices of the Mayors of both Municipalities on the dates and times listed below. Visiting Energy Staff will be available on-site to assist residents of respective municipalities, as well.
