The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. would like to inform the public that there is a scheduled water service interruption for customers in As Matuis, San Roque, Tanapag, Achugao, and Lower Base.

The scheduled water outages currently in effect are due to low water supply in the As Matuis water tank. Customer is the affected areas will experience a scheduled water outage today, Monday, on Wednesday, and Friday, from 8pm to 5am. Water service is dependent on the tank level.

Over the past two weeks, CUC has continued to perform leak detection in the affected areas to locate possible leak(s) that may be the cause of the low water tank level. Several leaks have been identified and repaired within the last week; however, the amount of water produced from the wells still cannot keep up with the demand on the distribution system. In addition, operators are troubleshooting a down water well to bring it back to service for additional water supply for the As Matuis Tank Service Area to improve water service hours.

CUC urges customers in these areas to practice water conservation matters and to contact the CUC Customer Call Center to report any leaks for repairs.

CUC continues to work diligently to minimize any inconvenience to its customers. For more information, contact the CUC Customer Call Center (664-4282) or monitor its Facebook page for the latest updates (https://www.facebook.com/CommonwealthUtilitiesCorporation/). (PR)
