Blue Haus, Saimar rout opponents

Blue Haus and Saimar Pilot crushed their respective foes in the Masters division games in the United Filipino Organization IT&E 2019 Basketball League.
Saimar Pilot hammered Pacific Marine last, 109-73, last Saturday at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium, while Blue Haus walloped Saipan Vegas Thursday, 106-83.
Blue Haus peppered Saipan Vegas with triples to remain undefeated after three games. Saipan is still winless after four matches.
Errol Peredo and Tony Diaz delivered four triples apiece for Blue Haus, while Elmer Esdrelon fired six. All three players finished with 20-plus points to help Blue Haus down Saipan Vegas. Peredo tallied 29 points, while Diaz and Esdrelon chipped in 26 and 23, respectively.
Saipan Vegas kept Blue Haus within striking distance in the first half, as the latter was only ahead by six at halftime, 48-42. Cecilio Bisana and Mico Usi combined for 23 points in the opening half, helping Saipan Vegas remain in contention.
However, Blue Haus widened the gap when the game resumed with Esdrelon drilling four triples, Peredo making three and scoring 14 markers in the third quarter alone, and Diaz and Junar Guiab contributing 7 and 6, respectively, for their 80-64 advantage.
Blue Haus was never threatened after that to notch its third straight win.
Saimar also improved to a 3-0 record after dominating Pacific Marine from start to finish.
Andrew Ashburn towed Saimar to the easy victory after sizzling for a season-high 46 points. He outgunned the entire Pacific Marine crew in the first quarter, 16-8, to lift Saipan to a double-digit lead, 29-8.
Ashburn kept burning the hoops and capped his outstanding offensive showing with a 14-point performance in the final canto.
