McDonald’s recognizes dozens of employees

McDonald’s Guam and Saipan threw a banquet for their employees at the Fiesta Resort & spa Saipan last Dec. 23 to show their appreciation for their hard work throughout the year and to confer upon them various categories of awards.
The event, called the 26th Annual Employee Appreciation Dinner, saw McDonald’s Guam and Saipan owners Joe Ayuyu Sr. and Marcia Ayuyu and McDonald’s Saipan area supervisor Joe Ayuyu Jr. handing out service awards, perfect attendance awards, employee of the quarter awards, and the employee of the year award.
The employee of the year award was given to John Tyron Rizo, a McDonald’s employee for over a year, for his outstanding performance for the year 2019. He was also named the quarter of the year employee for Garapan for the months of January to April.
Aside from Rizo, Kinisoulat Tisa and Tahira Mori also received employee of the quarter recognition awards for the Garapan branch.
For the Gualo Rai branch, employee of the quarter recognition awards were given to Beah Sebio for January to April, Norbert Sulapas for May to August, and Emma Lumbad for September to December.
Perfect attendance awards were given to Larigie Achas and Myrna Pagcu from the Gualo Rai branch, while Gerald Bautista and Christopher Loyd Batolino were given the award for the Garapan branch.
Charlie Achas and Gil Gapor also received recognition for their perfect attendance in the maintenance department.
For the service awards, accolades were given to those who have been with employee for three years, five years, 20 years, and 25 years.
For three years of service, Gualo Rai branch’s Dana Terlaje, Jesilyn Helgen, and Keyreen Maras were given recognition, while Marcos Darlucio Jr. and Jeanette Keremius were recognized in the Garapan branch.
Bernaly Durano and Ronald Manglona were recognized in the office and maintenance department.
Gualo Rai’s Julieta Jones was given the recognition for the five-year service award.
Larigie Achas from the Gualo Rai branch was the sole recipient of the 20-year service recognition award.
Gualo Rai branch general manager Jecelyn R. Asistores was also the sole recipient of the 25-year service recognition award.
According to Ana Olaes, McDonald’s Saipan human resources and marketing manager, McDonald’s Guam and Saipan credits a large portion of its success to its employees.
“McDonald’s wouldn’t be where it is today if it wasn’t for the employees and their hard work and dedication,” she said.
