18-year-old pro to race in ‘Hell’

Eighteen-year-old Hei Nok Wong of Hong Kong is among the pro riders to watch in the 2019 Hell of Marianas Century Cycle Race this Saturday.
Wong, who started joining pro races when he was just 16 years old, is a member of the Supernova Cycling Team and trying out for the Hong Kong National Cycling Team. Since becoming part of the Future Star Program in 2017, he has earned impressive results from various tournaments.
This year, Wong participated in the Hong Kong Cycling Criterium Race Series 1 where he placed second in the junior division and the Hong Kong Road Race Series 5 where he finished first in the same division. He also joined the Hong Kong Road Cycling Championship and was ranked second. In 2018, he placed first in both junior divisions of the Hong Kong Road Race Series 1 and the Hong Kong Junior Road Race Series 3.
Meanwhile, two other Hong Kong pro riders will compete in the 100-kilometer race this weekend—Christopher Chung Woh and Felix Yuen Chi Ho of Hong Kong,
Ho is a “Hell” returnee, as he placed No. 15 overall in the 2017 race. Ho also took part in the World Road Cycling Championship, the Tour of Thailand Stage, Tour of Indonesia Team General Classification, and Tour of Taiwan U23 General Classification in 2011. Ho got runner-up honors in the Thailand and Indonesia races, while he was the champion of the 2010 China Cup and ranked in the Top 10 in the 2010 Asian Games.
Woh, on the other hand, raced in the 2018 Completed Cape Epic, 2014 National Championship Hong Kong–ITT &Road Race, 2013 and 2014 Hong Kong National Mountain Bike Championships, and 2010 Tour of Thailand Princess Mamackakri Sirindhon’s Cup. He also saw action in the 2009 Tour De Kumano Jelajah in Malaysia, 2008 Tour of South China Sea, 2008 Tour of Hong Kong Shanghai, 2007 Tour de Korea, 2007 Tour of Hong Kong Shanghai, and the 2006 and 2007 United Stated Super Week Pro Tour.
