SPORTS CORNER:
Why I joined soccer?
“I joined soccer because I found it interesting. When I first joined, I got tired and decided to quit. But I changed my mind and then went back to soccer. I realized that it could take me to many places and it did. Like Guam, Tinian, China, Manila, Indonesia, and Cambodia. So, playing soccer is a fun sport and I hope a lot of people in Saipan plays.”

“The reasons why I started to play soccer is for life skills that can’t be gain through daily normal life activities. Example are teamwork, perseverance, confidence, hard work, dedication, and lastly patience. The reason why continuing soccer is important to me is because a lot of people didn’t think I would be anything. But through soccer I was able to change their opinions on me. I have a long way to go but I’m positive that one day I’m gonna impact the island in many ways.”

“Soccer is a good sport for me to be fit. I chose soccer because it’s not that tough like other sports. I play soccer also because I want to be a soccer superstar. So, I wish that the CNMI National Football Team will be the winner of the Asian Football Cup.”
