Woman reported missing
A woman has been reported missing on Saipan since Tuesday, Nov. 26.
According to a statement the CNMI Department of Public Safety issued yesterday, it said that Florita Arbas Rivera was reported missing last Tuesday after she failed to report for work and was nowhere to be found, except for her cell phone and keys that were seen at her home in Garapan. The DPS statement did not indicate Rivera’s age. She was described as 5’4” tall, weighs 160 lbs, with black hair, and brown eyes.
The statement said that DPS received a 911 call reporting a possible missing individual last Tuesday at about 12:33am. Police arrived at the scene and met with the caller, who said that Rivera did not report to her shift at the Micro Beach Hotel at 11pm. When the caller and a family member of Rivera’s went to check on her at the place where she lives, they noticed that she was not in her room, but found Rivera’s cell phone and keys on the dining room table. They immediately secured her room and called for police assistance.
The DPS statement said that this case remains open and is pending further investigation.
The CNMI Department of Public Safety encourages the public to call 911 if anyone has information on the whereabouts of Rivera.
